Therapies . . .

system of massage and is very effective. The techniques that are used in this system are quite different to the
techniques used in ocidental systems, such as swedish massage, and you will certainly feel the benefit.
Tuina uses the same system of meridians and points that acupuncture uses. It uses a technique called Acupressure
to stimulate the points. Tuina can be used to treat anything from digestive problems, to muscle pain, to gynaecological problems.
It also a very good way of relieving stress, you definitely know you've had a massage after having Tuina!
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy uses the essential oils of plants and herbs to treat a wide variety of different health issues.
The oils are blended together to suit your specific needs and are usually applied through massage. The oils are aborbed
through the skin and enter into the blood stream. This means that the plant or herb's chemical properties are not altered
as they pass through the digestive system, and this means their effect is not altered or weakened in any way. Aromatherapy is particularly useful when treating conditions or illnesses that are stressed related. Aromatherapy massage
is very effective at relieving stress and therefore treating the underlying cause of the illness as well as the symptoms.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient chinese system of treating illness with the use of very fine needles, that are inserted into specific
points along meridians, or channels of energy that run through the body. Acupuncture helps to guide the body back to 'homeostasis',
i.e. it helps the body to heal itself. It is a delicate, natural treatment with no side effects, and is very effective for treating
nearly any illness or condition.

Reflexology
Reflexology is a therapy that treats the feet in order to balance the whole body. It works by massaging areas of the feet that

'reflex area' on the feet. The aim of the treatment is to guide the body back to 'homeostasis', to encourage the body to heal itself.
This is an excellent therapy for people suffering from stress-related conditions, especially if you've been on your feet all day!

improve the circulation of blood and lymph, recharge the body's immune system, refresh the spirit, and soothe the nervous syste.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Lymphatic Drainage Massage is a type of gentle massage which encourages the natural circulation of the lymph through the body.
The lymph system depends on the movement of skeletal muscles to squeeze fluid through lymph ducts and vessels. Lymphatic Drainage Massage consists of gentle, rhythmic massaging of the skin to stimulate the lymph nodes to open and drain.
The treatment is very comfortable and nonaggressive. A typical session will involve drainage of the neck, abdomen, trunk,
and extremities and lasts approximately 40 to 60 minutes.
Ear Candling
Ear Candling is another very relaxing treatment that helps to clear earwax from a person's ear with the use of a hollow candle
in the ear. With the client lying on their side, one end of the candle is gently placed in the ear canal while the other end is slowly burned. This creates a vacuum
that gently draws out the wax, (or cerumen) from in side the ear. The sound of the candle slowly burning travels down the hollow
and has a very caling and comforting effect onthe person being treated.
